Think Big Summer Camp 2020 Overview

Our five-week summer camp is divided into weekly themes. Each theme stands alone as a unique project-based learning experience. Each week also offers a new and exciting opportunity to engage Ho Chi Minh City’s most progressive learning environment. Students will interact with the weekly theme through a fun mix of sports, team-building, activities, cooking classes, weekly projects and Life-skills. The goal of each weekly theme is to expose students to unique learning opportunities. These individual learning experiences will help guide students on their larger journey as lifelong learners.

Age (5 – 13 yrs)

Summer Camp is open to students from all schools from 5 to 13 years old

Student Grouping by Age

Although the Summer Camp Programme follows the same weekly themes for all ages, the content varies greatly as it is designed for specific age-appropriate delivery. Students are grouped in age categories:

  • 5 years old
  • 6/7 years old
  • 8/9 years old
  • 10/11 years old
  • 12/13 years old

Week 1 (22 – 26 June)

2020 VISION will encourage and guide children to explore what is important to them and what they are passionate about.


What makes me me?

     What do I love to do?

     How am I unique?

     What makes me Happy?


By understanding who we are, we are able to look at what we are really passionate about = DREAM BIG!


Life Skills Focus = CONFIDENCE


Week 2 (29 June – 03 July)

BIG PROBLEM is all about positive thinking.


How we see the world, is how we live inthe world!

In a complex and fast chandging world of informationand techloy, childreb are faced with ever increasing challenges as they attempt to make sense of the world they live in.


Can I train my mind to think positive?

How can I have a positiveattitude ?

How do I look fo opportunity in everything ?

Can I choose to be happy?


How we see the world, is how we live in the  world. Lean and practice how to think with positivity in your life!

Week 3 (06 – 10 July)


The development of technology and artificial intelligence in today’s world is moving as such a fast pace – how do we deal with this ? if we want children to thrive in our coplicated world, we must teach them how to thrive ?


Am I open-minded?

Am I inquisitive and curious ?

How can I think to help me solve problem ?


Can I make connections between ideas ?


By looking at things from a different perspective and by being flexible, we are often able to find ways to join the dots to find suitable solutions to almost any problems we may face.





Week 4 (13 – 17 July)


We all have beliefes about our own abilities and potential these beliefes are part of our mindset.

A GROWTH MINDSET is the belief that our intelligence and abilities can be improved with effort and right strategies!


How does my brain work?

What is mindset?

If effort more important than outcome?

How we think  can change everything!


We learn new  things everyday of our life. By having a growth mindset, we can make positive change to the people and the world around us!

Week 5 (20 – 24 July)


Everything starts with just a thought – think about it!

How can I set and achieve my goals ?

It it ok to fall?

Childern will learn the simple keys for success which can be applied to their everyday life – simple is key!

On the final day of summer camp, students will be hosting a performance for families based on their learning activities throughout the summer.

Positivity | Creativity | Open-mindedness | Confidence
Life skills activity sessions, through engaging fun activities, will connect students to weekly core values. These sessions are designed to have practical understanding and outcomes for children that can be applied to their everyday life.

Inquiry-based projects are designed in-line with each weekly theme to guide students to investigate their interests related to the topics and guiding questions.

Teambuilding focuses on boosting confidence and promoting self-esteem. Children are encouraged to learn the true value of collaboration in activities to achieve collective goals through synergy.

Put down the iPad, mobile phones, switch off the TV and get active! Sports games and activities for children help develop movement skills, confidence, and their love of being active.

Fun in the kitchen and such a valuable life skill! Children will learn about various baking and cooking styles and techniques where they are introduced to the various ingredients to form foods from sweet to savory (with a focus on healthy options).

Activity sessions are art & craft-based activities that link closely to each weekly theme (Personal Vision – Thinking Skills – Create your World).
